1. Objective(s):
To explore the capabilities of Multisim Live.
2. Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs):
The students shall be able to:
1. Identify the different components and tools of Multisim Live.
2. Create a circuit design.
3. Simulate the created circuit design.
3. Discussion:
National Instruments (NI) is a global leader in providing hardware and software products for electronic testing and
simulation. One of their software products is Multisim Live.
Multisim Live is an online SPICE circuit simulator that offers the same simulation technology used in industrial
research and can be used anywhere, anytime on any web-enabled device. It also offers an intuitive schematic
layout and simulation experience within a web browser, making it available anywhere that is internet-accessible. It
can be
learned on any device (cell phone, tablet, computer, etc.) without installing any software, It can test the behavior of
a circuit, demonstrate the application of a design, illustrate concepts, and perform and share interactive SPICE
simulations.
4. Equipment:
Multisim Live Software
5. Procedure:
Get Started with Multisim Live: Visit the link Multisim Live Get Started to get started.
3. Create your first circuit using RC Low Pass Filter circuit design by following the steps in Multisim Live Get
Started or watch the Getting Started with NI Multisim Live ǀ Introduction to Multisim Live video.
6. Data and Results:
3. Attach here the screenshot of simulated RC Low Pass Filter circuit design.

7. Discussion of Results
Our group managed to create an account individually in order to access Multisim Live to perform the virtual
circuit designing and experiment. In performing the second activity, operating with Multisim Live has a quite
convenient and systematized Graphical User Interface (GUI). The graph shows that the spectrum is represented
by the green lines, the outer spectrum by the blue lines, the phase is represented by the dotted lines, and the
magnitude spectrum by the non-dotted line. The vertical axis of the graph is the magnitude and the horizontal axis
is the frequency. As per the definition of a low pass filter, we observed that the graph slowly goes down as it
surpasses 1 kHz since it will cut off a frequency greater than 1 kHz.
8. Conclusion:
In this laboratory experiment, we familiarized ourselves with the UI of the Multisim and created an RC Low
Pass Filter circuit design. A Low Pass Filter is a circuit that can be designed to modify, reshape or reject all
unwanted high frequencies of an electrical signal and accept or pass only those signals wanted by the circuits
design, we are successful in making the Low Pass Filter circuit design using the Multisim’s tools and functions.
Creating a circuit virtually using Multisim Live makes it much easier and more convenient to manipulate, observe,
and simulate the designed circuit in order to gather some data and results regards our laboratory experiment.
9. Assessment Tasks:
Honor Pledge:
“I accept responsibility for my role in ensuring the integrity of the work submitted
by the group in which I participated.”
