Questions:
A. What I have learned from this experience
Sir Arriola and Sir Madrio taught us a lot about stations and depots. It shows us
what railway engineers face daily. General discussions with them may be technical, but it
is entertaining and a pleasure to study and comprehend each station component and
system we may work on in the future. We shall remember their tips and suggestions
because they helped us with railway-related work.

B. My experience with the people in the company

We developed ways to occupy ourselves throughout our virtual internship
lectures. Our mentors employed easy-to-understand methods to teach us. Giving
examples or real-life experiences helps us learn each lesson and having my classmates as
my internship-mates is also a pleasure since we are helping throughout the entire OJT
experience.

C. What are the important theories/concepts acquired during the practicum

For me, the lessons that our mentors taught us, in general, are all very important
but if I am to choose what is the most important for me, it is safety. Safety tackles the
ways we can protect ourselves from the hazards we might experience.

D. The most memorable event during the practicum

The most memorable event during the practicum for me was the 2nd to the last
day lecture with Sir Madrio. That day was full of knowledge about George
Nagelmackers, we learned different aspects of his life and how did he contribute to the
rail industry. He founded the Orient Express which is a long-distance passenger train that
was created in 1883.

E. What can I recommend for the improvement of the practicum program

My recommendation for the improvement of the practicum program is none
because throughout the OJT I’ve learned different aspects of rail and our mentors showed
us different ways how we are going to deal with different kinds of systems. We have very
industrious and amazing mentors that helped us widen our knowledge.

F. My advice to those who will take their practicum in the near future
My advice to them is to listen to your mentors because they will be the ones who
will give you resources and learnings that you can use in the future. Enjoy every lecture
and take your time analyzing things that are hard for you. Lastly, work with your
classmates to have an amazing experience and you can learn other things from them too.
