One of the challenges that Baskin-Robbins probably met in establishing a branch

here in the Philippines is the competition between the expensive prices of their
ice creams and the cheaper prices of their competitors. Baskin-Robbins is an
international brand well known for serving one of the best ice creams in the
world. However, Filipinos are not particular when it comes to ice cream and often
choose practical choices most of the time, so in choosing what ice cream to buy,
Filipinos tend to choose a rather good or better ice cream than the best ones

2. Another challenge that might have hit Baskin-Robbins is their lack of variety in
their products. Ice cream is a delightful product, however, it’s not the kind of
product that a Filipino would eat every day. While Baskin-Robbins focuses on
improving and adding flavors to their ice creams, competitors are offering various
products that their consumers can delight in while still offering ice cream
products.

3. Lastly, the lack of Baskin-Robbins branches in the Philippines could be one of

the challenges that they faced during their stay in the Philippines. With other ice
cream brands that can deliver to almost any location, Baskin-Robbins is bound to
fall behind. With only a few branches to reach out to, Baskin-Robbins is missing
out on a lot of opportunities and a good spot in the Philippine market, which may
be why Baskin-Robbins is closing their doors to Filipinos.
