Cell Division
Cell Division
The two different types of cell division are mitosis and meiosis.
Mitosis results in the production of cells with the same amount of chromosomes and genetic
material (46 in humans).
Daughter cells from meiosis have half as many chromosomes as their parent cells (23 in
humans)
In the cell division process known as mitosis, a single parent cell divides into two daughters.
The daughter cells and the original parent cell are identical to one another.
