In comparison to the previous records of population and housing, the Philippines’ Population still increases but the growth rate is slowly showing less than previous records. As shown in the data above, the total number of persons living as of 12:01 AM on May 01, 2020, is 109,035,343. In 2015, the Philippines’ Population record was 100,981,437, therefore showing an increase of 8,053,906 and resulting in a growth rate of 1.63%. Compared to the previous census of 1.72% from the year 2010 to 1015, this translates into a decreasing slope of the growth rate in the Philippines. The records from Philippine Statistics Authority also show the total population per region and it reveals that CALABARZON is the most populated and dense place in the Philippines with a record of 16,195,042, followed by NCR with 13,484,462 population, and Central Luzon with a record of 12,422,172. These three take up a total of 38% of the Philippines’ Total population. On the other hand, the top three regions with the least population are MIMAROPA, CARAGA, and CAR with records 3,228,558 / 2,804,788 / 1,737,660 respectively.
