SUMMARY

First of all, I would like to thank you to my fellow friends and my beloved
lecturer because without them I will never have the idea to complete my assignment.
I think I should choose Dato’ Seri Siti Nurhaliza and SimplySiti because I think she has
make this business grow very well. I am very sure when you go ask people about
SimplySiti, they will answer yes they know even they are using this product or not.
SimplySiti is quite familiar in our society nowadays. In additon, SimplySiti has been
on the market since 11 years ago from 2010 until now. The product is still popular
and be a common use for people. Other than that, other entrepreneurs have already
followed her and make her as a role model because she able to built her own brand
with nice tactical strategies without any cheap publicity. With her initiative way to
take action and act faster are one of the reasons her brand still familiar in the market,
along with her systematic planning, self-confidence and use of influence strategies.

INFORMATION ABOUT ENTREPRENEUR

Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin is the Malaysia’s queen of entertainment and
many people loved her, including those who are young and old. Her singing talent
and pleasant personality has made her an idol to Malaysian’s, especially amongst the
younger generation. She was born in Berek Polis Kampung Awah in Temerloh,
Pahang where she is the fifth child of eight in the family. She made the first debut
after she won local singing competition show, called Bintang HMI in 1995 and that is
when she was 16 years old.

Some years later she performed at the international arenas having solo concerts
and shows in Asian countries particularly at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall London
in 2005.

All along her 20 years career, she has cut more than 20 albums including one in
English, won 200 awards both local and international, sang the original soundtrack
for the box-office movies, composed and produced for the local music with great
success. She is being invited to perform at many National and State functions and
also as Malaysia’s singing to the world . With her enormous and exemplary triumphs
and achievements her name was carved in ‘The Malaysia Book of Records twice. She
was also bestowed upon the State Award. ‘Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang’ by His
Royal Highness, the Sultan of Pahang.

Until today, Dato’ Siti has been and will always be involved in charitable and
social work, constantly caring for the needy and concerned over women and child
abuse not only in Malaysia but the world over. She has performed at numerous
Charity and Fund Raising events throughout the nation as well as delivering talks and
conducting workshops. One apparent example is her appointment as Solidarity
Ambassador of the Persatuan Bulan Sabit Merah (Red Cross) followed by many other
organizations as Product Ambassador.

In 2006, Dato’ Siti started a family business with diversified interest in various
fields mainly in the music and entertainment industry. She had launched her own
beauty product line – SimplySiti in 2010 which had made nationwide sensation in
both local and the international market. May her business flourish and with her kind
attributes will continue to do charity work and contribute towards elevating the
Muslim economies.

OPPORTUNITY SEEKING :-

Entrepreneurs are opportunity seekers. They need to be curious and always


look-out for these opportunities and finding out whether they could do something
out of this opportunity. Instead of being discouraged, the entrepreneur should be
able to use these problematic situations as inspiration for creating something
innovative. Dato’ Seri Siti Nurhaliza is one of the entrepreneur that always grab a
chance to make SimplySiti become well-known and the most demand product in
global market instead she is top singer in Malaysia, so her business can grow faster.

PERSISTENCE :-

Persistence is defined demonstrated by an entrepreneur’s continued positive


maintenance of entrepreneurial motivation and constantly-renewed active
engagement in a new business venture despite counter forces or enticing
alternatives. For example, Dato’ Seri Siti Nurhaliza felt like giving up on her business
before but with support from her family, husband and her friends, she become
persistent and keep focus on her business until succeed.

USE OF INFLUENCE STRATEGIES :-

An entrepreneur is able to make use of influential people to reach their business


goals that was defined as the use of influence strategies. As for Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza,
she uses herself as an ambassador like cuckoo for her product since she is the top
singer in the country. She was personally involved with the promotion of the
products including starring in the product’s television commercials and touring malls
around Malaysia where she also released a theme song for the SimplySiti products,
which titled as Rahsiaku Kini Milikmu. As for the results, when she released her
limited gold edition of SimplySiti products with her signature in August 2010
especially for Hari Raya Aidilfitri. For the affordable price, her fans that is obsessed
she had a lot of fans from the country and even from outside such as Indonesia.

SELF-CONFIDENCE

Self-confidence is an attitude about our skills and abilities. It means we accept


and trust ourselves and have a sense of control in our life. For example, when Dato’
Siti faced her failed in business for the first time with her branded tea named CTea,
she did not give up with business for the first instead she stick with her own
judgement to improve herself in business industry and she did it with her new
cosmetic range and with the named SimplySiti, she did it. She believes that she can
do business and do not give up and there the brand is still here and everyone knows
it very well. Her failure with her first business has built her confidence to get into
business even deeper and improving herself to be better in business.
