Group Project Guidelines

1. Read the case carefully and then work as a group to answer the questions. This is a long case
as it should be in group projects. One or two persons should not do everything in a group.
Everyone must cooperate and contribute. There should be no free rider.

2. The due date for submission is December 24, 2022, that is the last day of MW class as per
the current NSU academic calendar.

3. The page limit is 10 pages excluding title page and appendix.

4. You should use ‘Times New Roman’ font, 1.5 line spacing and maintain 1-inch margin on all
sides of a page.

5. There must be a title page with the names and IDs of the group members. One person from
each group can submit the report on CANVAS.

6. You should have a body of the report based on your analysis.

7. In the appendix, include a distribution of work done by each group member. I am not saying
that everybody has to do exactly the same amount of work. I understand that different people
have different capabilities. But each member must make a meaningful contribution to the
final report.

8. In my opinion, there is absolutely no need to look into external sources to complete this
assignment. However, if you do so as a group, you must give proper in-text citations and
references using the APA style. For details on APA style of referencing, consult the
guidelines uploaded on CANVAS.

Case: Ranbaxy Laboratories

Question
Analyze the actions of Ranbaxy Laboratories and US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
using the following five concepts –

a) Organizational culture
b) Corporate ethics
c) Corporate social responsibility and whistleblowing
d) Leadership behavior
e) Cross-cultural differences in different countries and the problems with controlling

Do separate analysis for Ranbaxy and FDA.

concepts that we discussed in our lectures.
