FOCUS OF LESSON: Introduction to Ultimate Frisbee
STUDENT PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES (SPO):
By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:

P. SWBAT complete a backhand pass and a forehand pass 4 out of 6 times to a partner by the end of the
lesson. (MA. 2.17) (Standard 1)

C. SWBAT understand how activity participation patterns are lowkey to change throughout life and
identify strategies to deal with those changes, including a plan for life-long wellness. (MA 2.25)
(Standard 2)

A. SWBAT apply safe practices, rules, procedures, and sportsmanship etiquette in physical activity
settings, including how to anticipate potentially dangerous consequences and outcomes of participation in
physical activity. (MA. 2.26) (Standard 4)

1. Provide clear and concise constructions and getting confirmation from the class by asking if

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - What are the safety concerns? What is unique about the students
in this class?

Be aware of students having proper footwear on, especially being on grass. Also, have students be aware
of footballs being throw around and the potential that they could get hit when they are not looking.
