Drill Press Safety Notes/Rules

• Always wear your safety glasses!

• Clamp or firmly hold all work to the table

• Remove the Chuck key before starting

• Center-punch your work before using a very small bit.

- It will keep the bit from bending/wandering away from where you intend to drill.

• Big bits should spin slow. Small bits can spin faster.

• Ease up on the feed pressure as you are about to cut through your work.

• Use a "backer-board" to "lessen blow-out."

• Keep your hands away from the revolving chuck/bit!

- Long hair and clothing can get caught!

• Loosen the table clamp BEFORE attempting to change the table height!

• Use the Depth-Stop to drill many holes to the same depth consistently.
