Q1. Explain Organizational theory and hierarchy of any organization.

ANSWER:

ORGANIZATIONAL THEORY AND HEIRARCHY OF MEEZAN BANK:

Meezan Bank is Pakistan’s first and leading Islamic Bank. It has the fastest growing network
and is one of the fastest growing institutions in banking sector of the country. The business
practices within Meezan Bank are Shariah compliant, fair, and reasonable and reflect high
standards of ethical behavior. It is pioneer of Islamic Banking in Pakistan and focuses to
make Islamic Banking as a first banking choice for customers by being a one-stop solution
for all the services.

Objective:
The objective is to make and project the Meezan Bank as a professionally run and managed
successful and profitable Islamic Commercial Bank with high standards, discipline, morals,
and ethical norms and be recognized as such by others within and outside the country. To
achieve the above objective, all the employees and the directors of the Bank must fully
comprehend and follow the standards of ethics, business practices and code of conduct.

Aim:
Meezan Bank aims to establish Islamic banking as banking of first choice to facilitate the
implementation of an equitable economic system, providing a strong foundation for
establishing a fair and just society for mankind.

Purpose:
Meezan Bank wants to be a premier Islamic bank, offering a one-stop shop for innovative
value-added products and services to their customers within the bounds of Shariah, while
optimizing the stakeholders value through an organizational culture based on learning,
fairness, respect for individual enterprise and performance.

Under the Board of Directors and Shariah Board is Audit committee, and the President and
C.E.O. The President is the head of Deputy CEO all the other departments of the bank
necessary for running any business organization such as Finance, HR, Administration,
Compliance, etc. Further the Banking Network is divided into Branch Network, Business
Segment and Support. These are small number of teams with different managers working
as per the guidelines and rules directed by the heads of the organization.
