EDUC 111 – THE TEACHING PROFESSION

"Discovering your life's true calling - Lou Sabrina Ongkiko

"What is our life's true calling? How can you apply that in your calling to
teach?

''The call is not our profession. The call has always been to love.” Throughout my entire
life, I never thought that I would become teacher. Hence, teaching is not only a job or
a simple way to get money. It is demanding and stressful; not for the weak of heart.
Teaching is likewise not for individuals who decide to pursue it at random or out of
desperation. It is for individuals who consciously choose to heed the call to serve as
an instructor, a mentor, or a friend. Educating people is so much more than simply a
job. A call to ministry has come.

Being a teacher is a career choice, not just a job. Being a teacher is a career
choice, not just a job. You must possess an understanding and patient heart. Because
it requires bravery and devotion, it is also a noble career. A teacher needs to have the
guts to stand up for their pupils' interests and a strong passion for teaching, even when
it is difficult. Despite the fact that teaching involves a lot of responsibility, it is a
rewarding job since students' successes are not just theirs to enjoy. It also brings joy
to teachers. As has always been said, there wouldn't be any physicians, engineers, or
lawyers without instructors. The essential framework that develops a child's mind and
abilities includes teachers. If you hear a call, don't ignore it; you never know when
you'll be one of the educators shaping the thinking of our country's next leader.
Additionally, becoming a teacher entails more than just instructing children; you also
become their family, friend, and role model.

The fundamental purpose of our lives is to love. To care for the pupils
regardless of their shortcomings, noise, blunders, or mess-making tendencies. A
teacher's responsibility is to care for their charges and see them develop as dreamers.
My decision to enroll in a Bachelor of Secondary Education degree is the first step in
pursuing my dream of becoming a teacher, and it will give me the experience I need
to advance my career. As a future educator, discovering my calling—to love—had a
significant influence on me. Being an educator is not just about me, but also about the
students I will teach, thus I will use this to help my students become better people. Our
life's true calling is to love what you want and give all your effort and dedication to
make your heart fulfill. Based on the videos that I watch, according to Ms. Lou Sabrina
Ongkiko that the teaching is a passion and it is not only you like but you need to loved
your job. For you to fulfill your heart's passion, you need to love your job that can give
you an explainable smile and unconditional love.

We all know that a teaching profession is not that easy because you've
experienced a lot of difficult task and different students like a naughty and behave one.
But after all of these unexplainable experiences, suddenly you will think of the reason
why you are here on this profession. Ms. Sabrina Ongkiko want improve the learning's
of the students, so that why she's in the profession of teaching. As aspiring educators,
we may use what instructor Sab mentioned in the video, where she discusses the love
and support, she had from her parents. Knowing our goals is essential for teachers. In
addition to teaching, a teacher must care about their charges and be familiar with their
backgrounds. And assist pupils who aren't doing well in class because that is a
teacher's responsibility. Treat pupils well because how we treat them might be
reflected in how they treat others. If we treat them well, they will reciprocate. In the
same way that kids learn from their teachers, so do teachers from their pupils.

As aspiring teachers, we must make a goal to educate our pupils effectively so

that they learn from us not only in terms of academics but also in terms of morals. We
must be a positive influence on and an example to our students. My true calling in life
is to teach in the future and to support the learners as they learn, develop, and become
contributing members of society. I want them to put all the knowledge I impart on them
to good use in the near future. Purpose, Context, and Belief are three further words
that Miss Sabrina Ongkiko mentions in the video. Since you already know that
teaching is a difficult job, you need to be fully aware of the reason you are doing it.
You also need to have faith in your ability to both assist and inspire your students.
After seeing the two films, I came to the realization that you should follow your passion
with all of your heart and have faith in your ability to succeed.
