I was finally able to connect with Ms. Costa about the patterns.

She showed me how to follow

the steps and where to read what pattern parts I need to cut out. She also showed me how to
properly measure so I know which pattern size to use. I then went home and looked around for
what fabric I needed. She told me to use a fabric that has a lot, so I had to find something that
was an article of clothing because it wouldn’t be enough. I then find an old sheet that my mom
was going to get rid of. It’s a soft gray and perfect to make a skirt out of it. I ironed it, cut out all
the pieces I need just to get started. This took a total of 4 hours to cut, iron and plan out which
pieces go with what. I wasn’t able to sew anything together yet because I didn’t have enough
time due to school, extracurricular activities and work. My goal next week is to start sewing
pieces together and hopefully finish it.
