AFFIDAVIT

I, ARLYN M. CORPUZ, of legal age, married, Filipino, and with residence and
postal address at Brgy. Balecbec, Naguilian, La Union, after having been duly sworn to in
accordance with law hereby depose and say that:

I am the designated Barangay Agrarian Reform Committee Chairperson of

Barangay Balecbec, Naguilian, La Union;

I am aware of the problem on Lot 740 covered under OCT No. CLOA-147 with an
area of 128, 167 square meters, more or less, located in San Isidro, now Barangay
Balecbec, Naguilian, La Union;

Based on my personal information and assessment on the actual ground, the

said Lot 740 is actually and currently owned for decades by Rudney Balas, Charles Balas,
Jeffrey Balas, Jorge S. Benitez, Marites Marzo B. Gumabras, Geral O. Balas, and Tristan
Gio Sotto Balas. In fact, the ownership of said individuals were peaceful, exclusive, open,
and notorious, and was never the subject of any controversy in the Barangay;

I am also aware that the late Eugenio Balas and his daughter Merlyn B. Obiano
are owners of another lot which is adjacent of Lot 740;

The said Lot 740 was originally part and within the jurisdiction of Barangay San
Isidro but it is now within the jurisdiction of Barangay Balecbec, Naguilian, La Union;

I am executing this Affidavit to attest the truth of the foregoing in support of the
Petition for reallocation filed by Rudney Balas, Charles Balas, Jeffrey Balas, Jorge S.
Benitez, Marites Marzo B. Gumabras, Geral O. Balas, and Tristan Gio Sotto Balas with
DAR and for all legal intents and purposes.
