Annisa Nopendia chose the English for Law course for several reasons. She wanted to explore how English is used in fields other than teaching since her other courses focused on teaching methods and theory. She had previously taken an English for Tourism course and hoped to gain knowledge in different areas to help determine her passions and skills. She also wanted to enrich her basic knowledge of English used outside of education to potentially share with students or support her future career, and to increase her ability to speak English formally in situations like meetings and interviews.

English for Law The Reasons Why I Choose English For Law Course There are several reasons why I choose English for Law as my elective course. The first reason is my interest in learning English for purposes other than teaching, because my other courses are mainly about how to teach, and about the theory of English. I want to explore English in other different field, so that I will have various experience and knowledge. In the previous semester, I have taken English for Tourism course which means, I have gotten other knowledge in different field beside law and teaching method that I hope those can support me finding what job is truly on my passion and skill in the future. In learning this course, I also hope that I can enrich my basic knowledges about the use of English outside education circumstance. By having those basic knowledges, even though I will not get into the field of law, I will be able to share my knowledge to my students if I become a teacher, or use those knowledges to support my career in the future. At least I will know how to speak with people in different background. I want to increase my comprehension in speaking English in formal situations such as meetings, interviews, discussions, etc.
