Contrast in Daffodils

Before the writer sees the daffodils, he finds himself as a lonely cloud and detached so he uses the
word "wandering" to describe his aimlessness and loneliness. Right after that, the scenery he was
looking at was like the breeze, the daffodils affected his thoughts. He feels "wander", "float", "and
gazed" and passively observes the world. Then he encountered the crowd of golden daffodils, they
"fluttering and dancing", "stretched in never-ending line" and "tossing their head" in a never ending-
line to enjoy the breeze. This brought the writer the meaning of life and helped him to fill with
pleasure in his heart. When he saw the glee flower and the sparking lake lost, he changed his
emotion from a sad mood into a happy one that he can't understand just feel. This shows that he
couldn't fully enjoy the beauty of daffodils and nature just his memory and experience but overall
there is still a vacant in his mood that can not be filled.
