Garter Stitch Blanket in Highland Heathers DK

This gorgeous blanket was designed by one of our retailers and we loved it so much that we just had
to share it with you. It is knitted using ten shades of Highland Heathers and with such lovely
combinations, this blanket shows off the assortment of colours beautifully.

MEASUREMENTS
Finished size Width x Length (approx) 110cm x 96cm (43 ¼ x 37 ¾ in)

YOU WILL NEED


Blanket
Highland Heathers DK 1 x 100g balls of the following:
A Shale 3749 D Thrift 3746 G Heather 3753 J Loch 3751
B Gorse 3743 E Grist 3750 H Thistle 3748
C Cairn 3744 F Bracken 3747 I Granite 3742

4mm (UK8 - US6) x 100cm, 39½in Circular Needle or Extra Long Single Pointed Needles
Darning Needle for sewing in ends.

ABBREVIATIONS
garter stitch knit every row
The yarn amounts stated are based on average requirements and are therefore approximate.
TENSION 20sts x 44rows = 10cm over garter stitch on 4mm needles
It is essential to work to the stated tension to ensure the correct size of garment and you should
always knit a tension square. If there are less sts and rows to 10cm, 4in, change to finer needles
if there are more sts and rows to 10cm, 4in, change to larger needles.

not included in the instructions.

For a neater edge slip the first stitch of each row.


Instructions each colour, following the colour sequence A - J
Repeat twice more.
Cast on 220 stitches using colour A. Cast off.
Working in garter stitch throughout knit 14 rows of Sew in ends
