The document summarizes a student bridge building project. It describes designing a quadrangular truss bridge using an application, but having to change the design due to lack of materials. It then lists the materials used and 10 step building process. The summary concludes that the bridge held 7-8 pounds before collapsing, and that running out of wood and having to change the design multiple times were the most difficult parts of the project.

Truss design On bridge designer we made what looked like a quadrangular through Warren truss but ended up changing the design due to not having enough wood. Pictures from building the bridge Bridge being tested and breaking Bridge designer Materials we used in our bridge
We used a T square
Paper for the drawing
Basel wood
Rulers
We used wood glue
Pin tacks to hold the wood
We used a drawing board for the bridge
We used a 2x4 piece of wood for the roof and floor
We used a triangle ruler
We used tape as well
Steps for the bridge 1. We drew out the bridge on a piece of paper 2. We used the bridge designer application to make out design 3. We tested our bridge in the application 4. We started the bridge by building the base of it 5. Then we started cutting the wood into the pieces we needed for our design 6. Glued the wood to their spot it needed to go 7. Made sure the design was even 8. Started the roof 9. Then started the flooring 10. Added the finishing wood to the bridge What we wish we did better We wish that we spent more time on the truss design because our truss wasn’t good and the bridge collapsed fast. We also wished we used our wood more wisely because we ran out fast and had to change our design. What was most difficult The most difficult part of this project was the amount of wood we were given to build with it wasnt a lot and we had to change our design 2 times How much our bridge held Our bridge held 7-8 pounds of sand.
