MY VIEW POINT ON THE LGBT ISSUE

LGBTQIA+ is an abbreviation for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning, intersex,

asexual, and more. These terms are used to describe a person’s sexual orientation or gender identity.

The public's acceptance of homosexuality has grown significantly over the past 20 years. On the

other hand, many people do not recognize them and the issue now in LGBT community is about their

rights to live freely of how they want without the discrimination of others. Some people that part of that

community is being abuse and mistreat by other who are not in favor. My view point regarding with

that issue is people encountering discrimination, violence, inequality and even humiliation not only to

those part of LGBT but in general. I admire those who are a part of LGBT, but I disagree with some of

its efforts to obtain equal rights for same-sex marriage and the use of women's restrooms,

discrimination exclusively for them only. First, in marriage, marriage is first and foremost a God-

ordained bond between a man and a woman. Men are for women and women are exclusively for

men, in my opinion; this is a sacred activity exclusively for men to women and women to men only.

Second, in women’s restrooms. We are aware that there are bathrooms for men and women in

numerous establishments, including schools, hotels, and restaurants. In this part, I will not agree even
if a man is transsexual, I do not support him utilizing the restrooms for women. Some women support

them, but not all women do, which is why they also have the right to refuse to grant requests from

males to use women’s restroom. Third, regarding discrimination, I concur that they have the right to

be treated equally by all people without being subjected to abuse or mistreatment, just as we do.

However, if they want a law prohibiting discrimination that is only applies to them, I will not agree with

that, as we already have a law for everyone about discrimination here in the Philippines “The Bill of

Rights in the 1987 Constitution guarantees equal protection for every Filipino, and prohibits

discrimination of persons based on ethnicity, race, religion or belief, political inclination, social class,

sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, civil status, medical condition, or

any other status in the enjoyment of rights”. I believe that every country that doesn't already have a

law on that matter should also have one prohibiting discrimination in general. In my opinion about

LGBT issue If they are fighting for their rights, in my opinion, they should also make sure that it is

exclusive for everyone since they claim that they want equal rights. In my opinion, the greatest way

for them to combat prejudice is to urge people in positions of authority to effectively carry out the laws

on any activities related to mistreatment and to execute penalties for all those who break them. In this

manner, everyone will gain.
