III. Module Description

The purpose of this module is to help students develop their skill of developing working

drawing. It deals with Working Drawing Format & Standards, Foundation System & Foundation

Plan, Floor System& Floor Plan, Wall System and Sections, Roof System, Site Plan, Roof Plan

& Reflected Ceiling Plan, Stair System and Stair Details, Opening System & Elevations &

Schedules, Door -Window & Finishing Schedule.

On completion of this module students should be able to:

1. Describe building systems like foundation system, floor system, wall system etc. (K)

2. Explain construction materials of which building components will be constructed. (K)

3. Understand how building components will be assembled. (K)

4. Represent graphically different systems of a building. (S)

5. Prepare a working drawing of a medium rise residential building. (S)

6. Read and interpret a working drawing. (S)

7. Supervise the construction of a building. (S)

8. Appreciate the role of working in the construction of projects. (A)
