IELTS – WRITTING

TASK 1

The charts below show us the changes in ownership of electrical appliances and
amount of time spent doing housework in households in one country between 1920
and 2019.
On the first chart we can notice that the most popular equipment in 1920 was washing
machine and 40 percentage of households have this stuff. Over the years amount of
this kind of electrical appliances increase, but between 1960 and 1980 we can also find
slight decrease which is something about five percent. At the chart we have also
different equipment like refrigerator which significantly decrease for years so in 2019
all people have in their household. Also next stuff like vacuum cleaner is becoming
more useful. By 2000 to 2019 there is 100 percentage of household which is using this
equipment everyday.
The second chart shows us how number of housework per week is decreasing. From
1920 where percentage was 50 it decrease to just 10 percent which shows us the
impact which have had appearing electrical appliances at households.

TASK 2

Nowadays we can see very different advertises everywhere we are. It can be at school
where we see the advert about party which is on next Friday, also it can be at park
where we can find that new restaurant is opening soon. Next example will be at our
own house when we watch TV we can noticed that the newest laptop is on the sale
right now and wish that I could have had this one.
They are doing this because they want us to feel special about their products and keep
us in feeling that we can not live without it. To make us more encourage they use our
idols who are presenting this stuff like completely needed to have, the best example
are footballers who play at phones advertises, I really like watching Robert
Lewandowski so when I see this player with new Huawei, I’ll start thinking about:
“This must be very good equipment if he uses it!”.
I think they have good reason to show us products with people who everybody like,
this probably always increase sale and has bigger impact on people. But I’m also
thinking that not always have this good impact on us but positive for development,
because sometimes we are buying stuff which is completely unnecessary for us.
However this is how the advert world looks like and probably sometimes the best
advice for us to don’t give up to adverts will be don’t watch TV.
