To whom it may concern,

Below please find the key dates regarding late arrivals to our English-taught study programmes for
the academic year 2022-2023 due to visa or other delays:

• September 12th: start of the academic year’s introduction week

• September 19th: start of classes
• October 14th: last date on which students can finalize their enrollment*

*The input from programmes has been that it is no longer advisable for students to start their studies
this year if they have missed more than two weeks’ worth of classes. The reason being that they
would have missed too much content, that it would no longer be possible to catch up, especially
considering some programmes have exams/evaluations in the middle of the first semester already.

It is possible for students to defer their admission to next year, meaning they could start in
September 2023 based on this year’s admission. To do that, students are advised to contact
admissions@howest.be from January 2023 onwards. As a result, no new application will need to be
filed through the online application platform next year.
