b) The “Knot” edge – K* tot he end. Do not add extra casted on stitches, just follow
the patterns of the stitch, no matter what the stitch is.
If you cast on for Knots-Edges - *K3, P1*, K3 (same when you have K* to the end –
you knit all the pegs including peg 1 and Last peg) you get an equal number of ribs.
You do not add extra pegs when you cast on. Cast on exactly how the stitch is.
When you cast on:
Chain:
Row 1: Slip knot on the crochet then Chain. Put the last loop on P1(L).
Row 2: turn around and do an e-wrap knit, then to the end in u-wrap knit.
Always change the color on the L side, when you go to make the row of K.
For e-warp
a) with V on the sides (R1 and R2 the same: Skip on P1 and K the last Peg) – you already
knited last peg of Row1, you go to Row 2 so you Skip Peg1 (L):
Skip P1 (L), you already knited that in Row 1 with old Color.
Slip knot with new color on the Peg2 (L). Knit it. Tie knot with both tails.
b) with Knots on the sides (K* from P1 tot he end, including last Peg) – you already
knited last peg of Row1 with old color and you want to go to Row 2.
Slip knot with new color on the Peg1 (L) (over the existent loop with old color). Knit
it. Tie knot with both tails.
e-wrap knit u-wrap knit - Cast On the pegs and Changing Colors is the same in Stockinette,
Garter, Rib.
U-wrap knit doesn’t work for Seed or Irish Moss. In Rib looks completly different then
e-wrap knit.
