    Thus, using allowable deflection of L (in short


    span) /360 = 4000/360 = 11mm. Thus, PASSED in elastic deflection.

    LONG TERM Deflection maximum Deflection is 7.42 mm. Thus, using allowable deflection of L (in
    short span) /360 = 4000/240 = 17mm. Thus, PASSED in long term deflection.

    Therefore the slab thickness is adequate and we can proceed to design of frames and foundation.
