About 69% or 174 reported cases are Male while 31% or 78 reported cases are
Female. Most of the male cases of children are Children In-Street Situations, and
Children At-Risk who were turned over to District Welfare Offices by the Reception and
Action Center.
The rest of the reports are Children victims of Abuse and Maltreatment with 31
reported cases, 1 victim of Online Sexual Abuse, and 5 Children In-Conflict with the
Law.

To date, a total of 3,296 reported cases of children are being managed in the District
Welfare Offices. Counseling and Referral are the most visible type of services provided to the
children.
This is followed by 33% reported case of neglected children who are mostly female and
with age ranging from 9months old to 15 years old. About 3% of the reported cases of child
abuse are physical abuse, emotional or psychological abuse and Online Sexual Abuse. These
cases are managed in partnership with Child Protection Unit of Philippine General Hospital and
other members of the District Multi-Disciplinary Team.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
3. Prioritize the CNSP, CAR & CICL Cases in providing Educational Assistance
a) Inclusion of CNSP, CAR & CICL Cases to Educational Assistance
b) Conduct Orientation on Educational Assistance Program
c) Monitor the performance of EAP Beneficiaries to recommend for renewal
d) Provide further interventions to the beneficiaries towards sustained level of
functioning

5. Utilize the Online Database for Caseload Inventory and tracking of cases
a) District Heads to evaluate the status of cases and facilitate closures and
prioiritize pending cases
b) Recommend measures to address identified gaps to include in the program
evaluation and enhancement
A total of 3, 044 cases were served from January to June 2022 with CISS
(Children In-Street Situation) having the most number of reported cases, followed by
Children At-Risk who are turned over by Reception and Action Center to the District
Welfare Offices.

Child Abuse and Maltreatment has 275 cases wherein most cases are reported
and managed by District 1 and District 3, followed by Other reported cases of Child
Custody and Financial Support, Behavioral Problems with 124 cases and 90 reported
cases of Children In-Conflict with the Law.
