• Foreman (first responder) reacted immediately and sought for medical assistance without delay
(Shouting help... help... help).
• HSE officer (second responder) and Certified nurse (third responder) were informed about the
emergency.
• HSE Manager/CM (Incident Controller/coordinator) was notified about the medical emergency .
• HSE officer & certified nurse arrived at site with required first aid box and emergency equipment .
' • Co-workers take charge of rescue for the victim .
• Victim was shifted to shaded area on stretcher and carried out further medical assessment by site
Certified nurse.
• After the first aid, the victim recovered .
• Workers and foreman gathered at assembly point for post drill briefing .
• Post drill briefing was conducted, gaps and areas of improvement has been communicated to the
workers.
• Restored the activities .

Mr. Nasir Mahmood was engaged in guiding equipment as movement activity during that time he felt
dizziness and suddenly unable to move due to health illness.

same time he informed the HSE officer (Second responder) & certified first aider/Nurse (third

for quick assistance informing HSE manager.
HSE Officer and Nurse arrived at the spot (11.10 am) with necessary first aid box and emergency
equipment, stretcher, and started initial examination.

Nurse started initial examination for the victim and later on he became responsive so
nurse recommended him to send him for further medical examination.
Mr. Hisham and Mr. Jagadish conducted post drill briefing and educate the workers about
medical emergency response procedures.
I. Remarks
1. Overall communication: Satisfactory
2. Overall co-ordination: Satisfactory
3. Promptness: Related to emergency is Satisfactory
4. Other Training: Emergency response procedure was once again briefed to attendees
after drill.
1. It was noticed that rest shelter must be made available nearby main activity areas.
2. Improvement - emergency procedure was followed as per emergency flow chart but
delay to arrive at exact location.
Other comment:
1) Driver of emergency vehicle and certified nurse should be briefed of change in work location
access periodically to save time.
