3 HOME MENU
The landing page of SynaptiQ can be configured as desired by each user. By default, the standard
dashboard is composed by:
• The 5 plants in the user domain with the most alarms.
• The map of all the plants in the user domain.
• The list of all open alarms in the user domain.

FIGURE 2. HOME - DASHBOARD

However, this landing page can change according to the needs of each user. In the following section,
how to create and manage new dashboards will be explained.

3.1 CONFIGURE A NEW DASHBOARD

A dashboard is built up of several views. A view can be of several types:

• A map
• A graph or table that has been created and previously saved in the Analysis part.
• Alarm list views
• Intervention list
The dashboards, defined for the user, can be consulted under “Your dashboards”, on the upper right
part of the screen. The list of defined dashboards is shown as presented in Figure 3.
You can then click on “Create new dashboard” on the top-right part of the screen to start building up a
new Dashboard.

FIGURE 3. HOME – CREATE NEW DASHBOARD

The next step is to select the template for the dashboard. It can be built up of 2 to 5 views. In this
case, we will create a four-view dashboard.

FIGURE 4. HOME – YOUR DASHBOARDS – CREATE NEW DASHBOARD - TEMPLATE

Once the template has been selected, the list of all available views is displayed so that you can select
the ones that will be integrated in the new dashboard.
To choose the views in the dashboard, drag and drop a view into the corresponding space within the
template.

FIGURE 5. HOME – DASHBOARD – CREATE NEW DASHBOARD - DRAG AND DROP VIEW

Once all views have been dropped in the new dashboard, you can save the dashboard giving it a
name.
The name of the dashboard should be filled in and an optional description can be added. You have
also the possibility to tick on ‘Set this page as default landing page’ if you want the dashboard to be
used as landing page every time you log in to SynaptiQ.

3.2 TEMPLATE DASHBOARDS

When creating a dashboard as described above, you can select template views, which will be
described in section 7 on the analysis menu. If you select only template views with the same object
level (e.g. plants or group of plants) in your dashboards, a template dashboard will be created. This
dashboard will have an object selector as shown in Figure 6.
Be careful when selecting views to create a template dashboard: they should all be template views of
the same object.

3.3 MANAGE YOUR DASHBOARDS

By clicking on “Your dashboards” as specified in the previous section, you will reach the panel with the
list of already saved dashboards as shown Figure 3. From here, you can set as default, edit or delete
any dashboard.

3.4 SELECTING OR ROTATING DASHBOARDS ON THE HOME PAGE
Once you have defined several dashboards using the functionality described above, you can select
the dashboard you want to visualize in the dropdown box on the Home page.
At the bottom of the list of defined dashboards in the dropdown box, you find in italic the rotating
dashboard option. Selecting this one will allow you to automatically run from the one to the other
defined dashboard at intervals that you can define in the preferences menu.
