Placement Guidelines

Once the student conveys his/her willingness to participate in the process either by way of sending his/her resumes or giving his/her name to selection process, he should participate and should not absent without any satisfactory reason. 2. All the students should check the Placement Notice Board for placement information, apart from their ipeindia.org emails, on a daily basis 3. The students should not contact the Potential recruiters directly without informing the Placement Committee. However, if a student is contacted by the company directly he/she must inform the Placement Division about the same immediately. 4. If any student is not interested/do not wish to participate in the Placement Process because of Higher Studies/Marriage/any other reason, whatsoever, he/she should inform the Placement Division in writing. 5. IPE Dress Code is mandatory for participating in the Placement process (For Boys: White shirt, Blue Trouser, Red Tie and Blue blazer. For Girls: Blue Saree only) 6. All the students should submit one hard copy of Mentor approved Resume along with the soft copy to the Placement Division apart from carrying enough resumes and two passport size photographs, while attending any GD/Interview. 7. If a student fails to get placed even after attending maximum of 3 Selection process, he/she has to appear before the Placement Committee for counseling, before being given another chance to participate further in the placement process 8. Once the student gives name he/she has to go through the complete processes till the final stage of selection/otherwise and failure to do so will lead to the student being disqualified from the placement process. 9. Once a student gets selected he/she will not be allowed to sit for further placements. Further, once a student gets confirmation of the offer from a company he or she has no right to reject it and should accept without any reservations. 10. All the students should do proper groundwork such as checking the fundamentals of management discipline, current affairs in industry, industry trends apart from checking the companys profile, latest news about the company by browsing the websites, newspaper etc before coming for the Preplacement talks / written test/Interviews. 11. All the students must invariably participate in the preparatory classes such as Mock interviews, GDs, Aptitude tests etc. Further, they must be willing to re-locate anywhere in India, should the job profile so demands. 12. Students getting placement on their own must inform the Placement Division immediately. 13. Failure to comply with any of the above may result in the student being disqualified from the Placement process 14. All the students of Class of 2012, willing to participate in the Placement process shall submit the Placement Undertaking in the prescribed format before the placement process starts.

In the best interest of the students, institute and the employer, it is advised that the students should stick to their employment atleast for One year.
