Transportation: Transportation in plants is the process in

which substances absorbed or synthesized in one part of the


plant are moved to other parts of the plant.
Transpiration: Transpiration is the loss of water as water
vapour from the aerial parts of a plant.
OSMOSIS:A process by which molecules of a solvent tend to
pass through a semipermeable membrane from a less
concentrated solution into a more concentrated one.
Diffusion: hey move from a region where they are in high
concentration to a region where they are in low
concentration.
Ascent of sap: The movement of molecules from their lower
concentration to a higher concentration that reqires energy
and is called as diffusion.
Xylem :This tissue forms a passage to transport water and
mineral salts from the roots to the aerial parts of the plant.
