Signals

Authorization to Serve

Extend right arm; then, move to


the direction of service.

Team to Serve

Extend the arm to the side of the


team that will serve.

Change of Courts

Raise the forearms front and back


and twist them arount the body.

Time Out
Place the palm of one hand over
the fingers of the other hand; hold
vertically to form a "T"; then,
indicate the requesting team.

Move the forearms in circular


motion around each other.

Misconduct Warning
Show a yellow card for warning.

Misconduct Penalty

Show a red card for penalty.

Expulsion

Show both red and yellow cards

Raise two fingers.

Four Hits

Raise four fingers.

Net touched by player/served ball fails to


pass the opponent through crossing space
Indicate the relevant side of the

Place a hand above the net, with


palm facing downwards.

Attack Hit Fault


Make a downward motion using
the forearm with open hand.

Penetration into the opponent court or ball


crossing the lower space
Point to the center line or to the
relevant line.

Raise both thumbs vertically.

Ball Touched
With the palm of one hand, brush
the vertically-held fingers of the
other hand.

Delay Warning/Delay Penalty

Cover the wrist with a yellow


card(warning) and with a red
card(penalty).

Flag Signals

Ball in
Point down the flag diagonally
downward.

Raise the flag vertically.

Ball touched
Raise the flag on chest level and
touch the top with the palm of the
other hand.

Crossing space faults, ball touched outside object


or foot fault by any player during the service

Wave the flag over the head and point to the antenna
or the respective line.

Judgment Impossible
Raise and cross both arms and hands in front of the
chest.
