The pontoon hull is made in three complete cells and is bolted together on site.

Material
All exterior and interior surfaces are fabricated in mild steel. Complete with individually pressure-tested
main compartments.

Skid Runners
Pontoon base is mounted on two (2) full length skid runners fabricated from RHS for supporting the
pontoon on the ground. The skid runners are fitted with wear plate.

Push Bar
At one end of the pontoon, a Bulldozer Push Bar fabricated from Heavy Wall Pipe. The Push Bar extends
out from the pontoon.

Decking
All deck plates, including access covers are from 6mm floor plate to provide a non-skid surface. All
access covers are sealed using gaskets, fastened with CAD plated bolts.

Lifting Points
Lifting points are fitted to each end of the decking. These are also used as tie off points.

Bollards
Four 150mm high by 100mm diameter mooring bollards with 25mm diameter cross bars are provided
to each comer of the pontoon.

Safety Handrails
The safety hand rails are galvanized and fully removable from the pontoon with 32mm middle rail. A
kick rail is fitted beneath all hand rails.

Steel / Welding Standard

All steel work is to A.S.l2O4 grade, 250 U.N.O. All welding is a minimum 6mm continuous fillet, in
accordance with A.S.1554, Category S.P.

Steel Preparation
All exterior steel work is abrasive blast cleaned in accordance with A.S. 1627 - 1974 Part 4 - Class 2 ½

Pontoon Paint Coatings

Product is International Inter-zone 954 H.S. Total thickness 300 - 350 micron dry.

Pontoon Interior Protection

All interior compartments are coated to provide corrosion resistance. The interior coating is a light
refined oil base, designed to give long--term protection to exposed steels.

Tow Chains
One set of "SUPA Alloy" tow chains four meters long, fitted with Hammerlocks and a large multi head
link.
