MEDIA BOARD’S SKILL TEST

Welcome all the next descendants of HERMES - The Envoy of Media!

We are pleased to know that you have passed the first trial. But to get closer
and closer to the top of OLYMPUS - descendants will need to prove their
diplomatic ability by completing all the tasks below in this SECOND TRIAL.

Note:

1. Create a folder in Google Drive with a title [MEDIA BOARD] -

Your full name - Student ID.
Ex: [MEDIA BOARD] - Nguyen Tran A - 22DH…
(All your final work should be exported to PDF format)
2. Copy the link and paste it into the mail.
(Remember to set the access to “anyone with the link” so we can
see your work)
3. All answers must be done in English.

Please show HERMES your creativity through words! Now, let’s begin.

1. Suggest HERMES one potential sponsor you know of any area to become
a long-term partner for OLYMPUS's (7SEC) next programs and explain
why you chose that one?

2. Write a letter to the sponsor you have mentioned above with the aim of
obtaining sponsorship from them for the mount's event - following the
directions below.
Topic of the Event: Extraordinary English
Theme: Descendant of Mount OLYMPUS

Content of “Extraordinary English”: There are a total of 4 small pieces that

make up this event: Newscast, speech, storytelling, debate (individually or in
teams).
- Contestants have the right to choose 1 in 4 contests and will participate
on two platforms: webinar or offline for each respective category. All 4
"pieces" above are aimed at diversity and fluency in English. At the same
time, through this contest, the organizers want to develop young people's
thoughts through broad topics to aim for a better society in the future.

Time: 17th October - 31th November, 2022 (receive all entries)

*Requirements:
- Formal email
- Write in English
- Word Count: 420 - 600 words
- Font: Arial/Times New Roman
- Size: 13
- “7SEC” in red, bold, and CAPITAL

*Directions:
- Salutation - the opening of an email is always a formal greeting (Ex:
Dear Mrs…)
- Opening paragraph - express interest in the reader’s sponsorship and try
to market 7SEC. You will need to captivate the reader and encourage
them to continue reading, and the best way to do this is by listing the
benefits.(Ex: through this sponsorship, X will receive exposure to a
broader market, which will drive more business to your organization…)
- Middle paragraph(s) - write a summary final (content) detail about the
event; further explain the benefits and explain what else you can offer if
they agree to sponsor you (Ex: they will get their logo printed on tickets,
standees or a stall set up at the entrance)
- Final paragraph - Provide your personal contact information if the
sponsor has any further questions about the invitation.
 - Closing - finish off as you started with a professional “Kind regards” or
“Yours sincerely”.
- Lastly - end the email (letter) with the club’s name as the signature.

Note:
Only use “7SEC” to represent the 7S English Club. “I”, “me”, “my” and words
of the first person are not allowed.
Divide the email into short paragraphs for each section.

3. Write 2 posts for The Spotify series Podcast Contest ‘Finding the
talent Host’, choose 1 from A (A1, A2, A3) and 1 from B (B1, B2, B3),
and a brief for 1 of the 2 posts that you have chosen to write.
- Word Count:
Post: Minimum 200 - maximum 350
Brief: Minimum 20 - maximum 40

Theme: Greek myths: A continuing influence on modern life.
