IMPACT COVID 19 TO COMPANY

Low Company Profits.

Covid- 19 which has shocked the world recently has affected most of the
companies.Among the effects faced by the company is low profit. This is because,
since the new norm started, people are not allowed to leave the house to prevent the
spread of this virus . Since “Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan” (PKP) is implemented,
business operations have been restricted. If the people do not go out to spend or work,
this means that companies like Padini Store will lack customers and will not make a
profit. Most companies have been making low net profit since the second quarter of
the year. Companies such as Amway (Malaysia) Holding Sdn.Bhd, Petronas
Dagangan Berhad (PDB), Padini Malaysia Store and Nestle (Malaysia) Berhad have
been making low profits and losses very large due to covid-19 pandemic.

Because of virus Covid-19 has spread and caused some companies to suffer huge
losses, they have had the opportunity to sell online.Some business people said that
more people are now at home, it will stimulate the growth of e-commerce in general
in the long run moderate time.He said as consumers will be more dependent on e-
commerce services in the post COVID-19, digital use will help businesses balance
risk closely with customers, provide customer needs while maintaining social
imprisonment.He said consumers today are more interested in being at home and
shopping online, and this creates an ideal market environment for companies to
accelerate, test and launch mobile apps, websites and touch points guided by new
experiences across all their platforms like Shopee and Lazada.
