SHIPSECURE

BUSINESS IDEA
INTRODUCTION AND SELECTION

The four ideas that are proposed are:

1. ShipSecure will tackle the problem of transportation delays and rising supply chain costs
by providing AI-based logistics services to businesses. AI software, transportation,
shipping, and cargo services are among the services offered. Logistics and customer
service have dramatically improved as a result of artificial intelligence. We may use data
analysis and machine learning to improve and modify our present warehousing
procedures based on previous experience. Artificial intelligence may improve delivery
efficiency by enhancing the transportation route while simultaneously lowering
transportation costs. Many uncontrolled components of logistics operations may be
avoided by utilising information technology to make the entire process traceable,
controllable, and predictable. (Boute et al., 2021)

2. The issues that people have as a result of having to take their wallets with them
everytime they go out. Many times, their wallet appears to be a burden to them, and
they lose it from time to time. As a consequence, they are not just at risk of financial los,
but they are also at risk of losing vital records. Furthermore, while paying the bills offline
using a wallet, consumers frequently have problems paying the correct denomination
charged, resulting in a chaotic situation. The all-new clock with digital wallet capability is
likely to be a one-stop solution to these problems previously noted. (Hendrix et al.,
2021).

3. Customers avoided visiting luxury salons because of alleged contamination of towel,

beauty products, and salon utilities such as hand mirror, brushes, and other brushes,
etc., as a result of the commencement of social distance and Covid procedures. The core
concept of this business venture, dubbed "FN," is a portable kit including salon
disposables at a reasonable price (Fastidiously Neutralizing). The word Fastidious in the
name denotes that the product adheres to government-mandated medical standards
and is of superior quality.

4. A gas mask which guards against and identifies coronavirus is a novel commercial
concept. Droplets are among the most common methods for corona to spread. A decent
mask will help you avoid leaks. Based on the protein level, the equipment in front of the
mask identifies the coronavirus in the patient's breath. A filter in the front equipment
saturates relying on the protein concentration of the breath. Then, from green, switch
to red. At the outset of illness, this mask may identify the coronavirus in your breathe or
droplets. This is particularly advantageous for the old, who have a weaker immune
system than younger people. As a result, they may begin treatment before the virus
symptoms develop. This gas mask is well-known for its ability to guard against and
detect gas.

On the basis of the above analysis the business idea that is selected is AI based logistics services
to companies as it is easy to implement, improve efficiency of warehouse, decrease in
accidents, improving transportation forecasting. On the other hand, the business idea of
disposable salon products and gas mask are profitable as long as there is covid while the
business idea of digital wallet is quite good but it requires a lot of research on target market,
availability of resources, financial feasibility and it will not be easy to implement it.

IDEA SELECTION

In order to select the best idea Be Deliberate - Think about your thoughts carefully,
deliberately, and openly. Don't always go for the easier option; instead, choose carefully. Check
the Objectives — In order for your proposal to be considered feasible, it must fulfil specific
criteria or objectives. (Reis et al., 2022)

IDEA: ShipSecure will solve problem of delay in transport and rise in cost in supply chain, by
offering AI based logistics services to companies. The services include AI software, transport,
shipping, cargo services.

In order to select the best idea, consider its success rate, benefits, risks and feasibility

GAPS IDENTIFIED

It is vital to identify the problem in order to put a company idea into practise. It might be either
client difficulties or existing business obstacles. It also enables for the collection of market data
and information. The gaps that are identified are:

 A scarcity of large, clear data:  Artificial intelligence, like other computing systems,
requires excellent data. In terms of training algorithms and construct predictive models,
machine learning (ML) requires massive amounts of reliable data. However, most
businesses lack both the quality and amount of data required to do this.
 Transportation delays must be minimised.
 Supply chain costing must be evaluated and optimised.
 Unintelligent AI is compartmentalized AI:  Supply chains are fundamentally cross-
functional and cross-enterprise, as well as the information required to run them is
dispersed across internal and external partners. Companies that try to integrate AI in
pieces while disregarding the overall picture will have bad results. Algorithms will likely
to also have blind spots and lack possibilities for optimisation and execution if they do
not have access to all necessary data. (Younis et al., 2021)
 Need to maintain the daily performance in supply chain
 The AI skills shortage: The fast progress and increasing viability of AI has taken many
businesses off guard. This is due to the fact that AI need current abilities such as modern
languages, frameworks, and methods of thinking. Few businesses are prepared to
handle the transformation and fully capitalise on this rapidly evolving area. According to
an O'Reilly poll from 2018, the AI education gap is the biggest roadblock to AI adoption.
 Due to incorrect configuration, multiple cost startup needs to be reduced, better
maintenance management and setup is required. (AI Sartawi, 2021)
 Optimization for the short-sighted:  Every procedure and modification has an associated
cost. When it isn't considered in decision-making, the result might be worse if nothing
was done at all. It's easy to lose track of the long-term repercussions of an action in
supply chains with multiple partners and systems. Numerous approaches make this
mistake by re-planning the whole supply chain, causing "nervousness" in the system and
causing significant and unneeded change and expenses when a modest or more local
adjustment would suffice (Golpira et al., 2021)

BUSINESS MODEL CANVAS

The business model canvas is an excellent tool for quickly and clearly understanding a company
model. This canvas can help you learn more about your clients, how value propositions are
supplied through which channels, and how your business generates money. You may also utilise
it to better understand your own or a competitor's company model. Customer value
proposition, customer segmentation, channels, customer connections, revenue sources, key
resources, key stakeholders, key activities, and cost structure are the nine building elements in
the business model canvas. (Carter et al., 2020)

CASH FLOW PROJECTIONS

A cash flow projection is a summary of the cash predicted to enter and exit your company. This
includes determining your earnings and all of costs, which will offer your company a clear
picture of how much money it will have at the end of a certain time period. (Mazzarol et al.,
2020) The investment required by ShipSecure for implementing this idea is $40,000 which
includes IT infra, vehicles and marketing costs.

Best- and worst-case scenario of cash in-flow projection for the first 2 years:

Best scenario: If the company able to utilize all the resources and create AI software for logistics
that reduces cost and transportation time and deliver it at reduced costs than it’s competitors it
will be able to attract a lot of companies and in the first year itself it will be able to cover it’s
costs of $40,000 and in the second year itself if the clients are satisfied it will be able to attract
more clients and they are also able to sell their AI software which will generate profit in the
long run for the company.
Worst-scenario: Considering the brand value of ShipSecure they will be able to utilize its
resources fully and will be able to fulfill its commitment to clients but being new if they’ll not be
able to render the services at reduced costs than its competitors initially in the first year will
take the services from it’s competitors but because of it’s services(Reduction in costs and
transportation time) they’ll be able to attract some clients and if there services are good in
second year also they’ll be able attract the companies considering their high prices and will be
able to recover it’s costs($40,000) slowly but in the long run it will definitely generate revenue
for the company

CONCLUSION

It can be concluded that ShipSecure business idea to offer AI based logistics services like
software, transport, shipping, cargo services to companies is feasible as it requires investment
of $40,000 and companies are already using AI in their logistics management and the resources
required are HR, IT infra and vehicles. Company, markets, SME’s as well as government will be
benefitted by the implementation of this idea. Furthermore, financial risk, increased
competitiveness, technical innovation, and data breach are all possibilities of risks that can be
taken care of. Taking all this into consideration the business idea is good for the company to
invest in.
