PROFESSIONAL LEARNING CAPSTONE

ABSTRACT/RESEARCH PROPOSAL FOR CONFERENCE PAPER


Educational research improves the teaching and learning process by strengthening the data

and helping to teach and lead more effectively and strategically. Capstone is a project that

demonstrates values, beliefs, and philosophies as a teacher-researcher. Teachers develop

through inquiry, self-study, investigating an idea, problem, or queries in this project.

Something has emerged within the interventionist educational skills gained through the

Evidence-Based Teaching framework. Self-study teacher research improves the practice

through collective inquiry. The capstone project becomes the internal part of the university

degree curriculum, and it is a unique opportunity to carry out independent group research to

devise an innovative solution for worldwide problems. The project scope details precisely

what has been delivered at the end of the project and the work's parameters. 

 This paper presents a collaborative self-study of the teacher educators and how they

understood, practiced, and promoted democratic education in response to the divisive of

2015–2016 at a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) in South California. The prevalence of

neoliberal ideologies throughout the 2016 election season challenged our understanding of

demand education. Therefore, we explore how teacher educators pro-democratic education

and pedagogy during political uncertainty. The project has limitations, too, that vary from

student to student. Some students faced problems as the project sponsors changed the project

from its initial conception. For example, students sign up for X, and projects turn out to be Y.

The projects sponsored are routinely unavailable for responses to the students. The students.

The primary goal of the Capstone project in education is to ensure to think critically and

identify specific topics that have problems, and self-research will give the solution. Also,
boost the knowledge and creativity, capstone project in at achieving the particular educational

goal, a good example is a goal that requires the college student to explore their mind with

research. Better research presents improvements in the speech mode of presentation and how

students communicate. This project also aims at motivating students, increasing their career

aspirations, improve student self-perception and confidence. The capstone project helps

students for their personal growth and the advancement of their careers. In this project, the

students can participate in work-based projects that can be beneficial in the future for their

careers. Some of the features of this project enable hi school students or college students to

pursue their talents. The talents incorporated with these projects can be somebody's career.

Self-directed and online learning needs a commitment from the participant to read, write,

reflect and collaborate where and when prompted. The first four modules are completed as

self-directed or self-learn modules. They are designed to support building skills and

capacities in self-study teacher research needed for Capstone experience. Self-study is

flexible and lets us decide when and where to do the work. The modules have been designed

to offer that flexibility through 3 x 45 minute chunked learning experiences that let you

decide when you participate. One can choose to do the 12 hours over 2-3 days or take the

week to read, reflect, write, draw and think a little. Self-directed learning is active learning,

not passive learning, just one needs to have pace across 12 hours. The learning design is

guided around time and structure to support, and the lecturer will be moderating participation

in forums and posts.

Capstone, our project, which is expected to complete at the end of the semester student

course studies, stops participating in the capstone student need to complete the pre-semester

requirements. The student will be registered for the caption project only with the program

director's approval. The director's approval guarantees a student has met the program

requirements along with the prerequisites defined by the faculty advisor. The program
director will assign the review team for the project after the start of the semester, notifying

students and advisors of the team members. The program director will also forward

comments from the graduate program faculty review to add advisor student force a

the program and problem, an explanation of significant issues encountered, and a
