responsibilities of MCC Personnel

Manager of Maintenance Control

The MCC Manager is responsible to the Accountable Manager/Technical


Director/Continuing Airworthiness Manager (As applicable) for the smooth
operation of the MCC department with the following key responsibilities.

Will typically have 10 years minimum experience as well as recent appropriate


managerial experience with a relevant technical background. Will be expected to
have worked in most areas of maintenance, including base maintenance, line
maintenance, and production planning.

Should possess the following:

» Sound knowledge of aircraft engineering and maintenance activities

» A sound understanding of safety management systems surrounding aircraft


operating processes and procedures

» Strong understanding of maintenance planning principles

» Proficiency in MS Office applications

» Proficiency in English

» In-depth understanding concerning regulatory and compliance obligations

Typical Duties Include the following:

» Performance of the Maintenance Control Centre supporting the safe operation


and wellbeing of the fleet in service.

» To ensure that MCC manages effectively any aircraft maintenance events so as


to minimize downtime and costs.
» To ensure that the fleet of aircraft are in compliance with all maintenance
requirements, operated in accordance with the limitations of the appropriate MEL

» To ensure that all scheduled maintenance events are planned and executed to
reduce fleet downtimes.

» To ensuring Maintenance Control Staff maintain compliance with all company


policies as outlined in the organisation process & procedures Manuals

» To provide technical guidance and support as a subject matter expert (SME)

» Provide Operational oversight of Maintenance Control Department to


maximize fleet availability

» Ensure all out of service aircraft have an appropriate plan to expedite repairs

» Maintain fleet adherence to the maintenance programs

» Directly Manage the operational performance of Maintenance Control

» Provide managerial oversight of the Maintenance Control team members


including performance reviews

» Control costs to maintain departmental budgets

» Ensure departmental communications are timely, factual and meeting the needs
of the business

» Work jointly and effectively with Operations Control Centre OCC and the 145
Maintenance Organisation
» Set and manage the fleet, team and individual performance goals

» Assist in the generation of work packages for scheduled and AOG maintenance
events
