BJYM REPORT I 2022

Foreword
The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) is the world’s largest youth political organisation. It is a grassroots organisation that encompasses and represents the geo-
graphical, cultural, linguistic, regional diversity of India in all its glory. It is today the strongest voice of India’s youth, who have reposed enormous confidence in BJYM to
articulate and represent their aspirations. The BJYM has undertaken a wide canvas of activities and initiatives over the past two years, drawing inspiration from our be-
loved Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayaas”. The BJYM remained at the forefront throughout the fight
against the COVID-19 pandemic, by launching a nationwide doctor helpline, as well as mobilising a large number of resources under BJYM Cares, including both medical
and ration supplies, for the benefit of our citizens.

In line with the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to groom young leaders in the fields of governance and administration, the BJYM has introduced a number
of new initiatives to boost capacity building, augment intellectual prowess, and build personality skills and values among our yuva karyakartas at the grassroots level.
The BJYM Magazine today has emerged as one of the premier repositories of public policy commentaries in the country. The BJYM Policy Dialogues has taken the pol-
icy conversations a step further by engaging with the country’s top decision makers and is helping the youth gain from their insider perspectives. The Sushasan Yatra is
another step in this direction, taking the yuva karyakartas literally to the forefront of good governance. So far, over 600+ karyakartas have visited over 10 different states
and travelled more than 4000km across the country. The yatra has been a resounding success in meeting its objectives in every edition conducted till date. With half of
all delegations participating in these yatras coming from the district and local level, the Sushasan Yatra has provided a great platform to connect grassroots karyakartas
with the nation’s progress in good governance in various fields.

From conducting BJYM Twitter Spaces to introducing the BJYM Organizational Diary, there have been a plethora
of initiatives taken for the intellectual capacity building of our karyakartas. The BJYM organised the Yuva Morcha
Prashiksha Shivir in 2022, where karyakartas were imparted training in legal activism, entrepreneurship, social
issues, among other topics. Going forward, the journey is only going to get even more enriching. We will soon be
launching a first-of-its-kind Learning Module using the BJYM App, which will facilitate high quality training of our
karyakartas across the length and breadth of this country. Together with the existing efforts of capacity building,
such as orientation sessions in Social Media, these various new initiatives will help our karyakartas at the district
and mandal level expand their knowledge, reinforce their ideological commitment, and sharpen their skills as
they emerge young leaders of the party.

The BJYM has also contributed towards the party’s election efforts, by organising an unprecedented quantum
of Pravas as well as various other activities that have engaged and convinced youth about our model of gov-
ernance in various states. Most recently, it provided research assistance and innovative inputs to the Manifesto
committee in Gujarat’s Assembly Elections. It also conducted a dedicated outreach program to reach out to first
time and student voters in the state, and produced actionable research that illustrates and amplifies the BJP’s
solid governance track record.

The BJYM has steadily expanded its footprint, both organisationally as well as among the larger populace of the
country. It has raised its voice against anti-youth and anti-people policies of several opposition ruled states, from
Rajasthan to West Bengal.

The extraordinary amount of support our karyakartas have received from the masses in these states demon-
strate that the youth across the country is yearning for the same kind of change that is being ushered in BJP
governed states.

The BJYM will continue to strive towards the empowerment of India’s youth and contribute towards realising
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of an Atma Nirbhar Bharat. We have an exciting set of activities lined
up for 2023 to further strengthen the organisation both quantitatively and qualitatively, so that we are all geared
up to face the general elections in 2024.

Shri Tejasvi Surya

National President of BJYM, Member of Parliament (LS)
