PowerMill Error: This toolpath is not suitable at present for output to a Machine Tool with cutter

compensation active.

This is because suitable leads have not been applied.

The user gets an error message while calculating toolpath with cutter compensation options.

As per the TeamViewer session, the issue identified was PowerMill was giving an error

“This toolpath is not suitable at present for output to a Machine Tool with cutter compensation active”
while calculating toolpath.

It happened because suitable leads have not been applied.


We have followed the below steps to solve your issue.

1. Open the calculated toolpath setting.


2. Select Leads and links.
3. Click lied in 1st choice select Horizontal arc use angle 90 and radius 10.
4. Click to make the lead-outs the same as the lead-in.
5. Calculate the toolpath.
