Finding Light Amidst Dilemma

I can still recall it vividly and clearly. It was during the February of 2 nd week when my daughter
told me her concerns about the viral issues that were spreading in China. I was in shock because it has
reached a worldwide attention that even at her early age was able to get a grasp in what would
happen to our health if ever the virus was to infect us. There has been a huge widespread about a
pandemic in China but I gave no serious thought and didn’t mind it at all since I was too busy with my
household duties. Then another day came, but the rumors haven’t subsided yet which can be
especially seen in our office in which all of my co-workers have been talking about the virus nonstop
that made people quarantine for 14 days and at worst case scenario will make you perish through
ashes. Moreover, an unfortunate thing to me as I got ANXIETY due to the unbelievable situation the
virus took us upon which took me a month to diagnose what was happening to me.

However, despite all of the negativity, this pandemic proceeds to give optimism as it brought
our family into one. Many changes happened in our family as we were able to bond ourselves by
having the time to mingle each other. May it be helping each other in cleaning our home, budgeting
our financial needs, and recreating joyful moments like the old times. Yet, the noblest deed we did that
year was praying the Holy Rosary, meditating with our life as Christian to ask for our aspirations
every night. Prior the Holy Rosary Prayer meetings, we were already religious Catholics who attends
church masses every Sunday, but we were never this extensive in our faith as to do it every day. Thus,
it gave us the hope and light that we have needed during those times of pandemic. We were able to
strive through hardship and through our downs there proceeded a glow that made my family shine
better.

On the other hand, my work in the office has been very productive as I was able to find ways to
carry out solution on CY 2018 up to CY 2021 implemented projects of our district by inventory and
sort out files which to be in demand for the Project Procurement Management Plan, without any rush
to meet deadlines. Preparing those we are able to comply the necessary output in the system, Credit to
our unit as this seen in the generated reports.

While on quarantine, the government also has action plan either on economic, health, or
financial aspects. Trying its best to aid all Filipino people and do execute health programs, rules and
ordinance on health protocols, and others.

Finally, My lesson learned were help one another in times of uncertain situation, be obedient to the
rules and regulation of our government and do not take advantage of the situation for personal
interest.
