Week 4
1. What have you noticed about yourself during the coronavirus outbreak?

During the pandemic, I have noticed some gradual changes on my emotional, mental
and physical state. I observe this on how I response in daily happenings in my life.
Looking back and compared myself now from before there was a big difference
between how would I think a certain situation and create an argument on it.
Nevertheless, I could tell there are some cases of things that led me to anxious and hard
to focus that I confidently conclude that this is resulted due to pandemic. There are also
cases of self-love and reflecting things from experiences that I have encountered- both
failures and success. In short, this pandemic gives us not only hurdles but also
opportunity to look ourselves, to learn novel things and to accept how life is
unpredictable.

In addition, as lookdowns enforce in our country, one to two weeks I felt strange and
unusual due to the fact that our daily habits shifted abruptly. Personally, I considered
myself as an introvert person who afraid to socially interact large gatherings of people
especially party’s and acquaintance’s events. But part of my 2020 new year’s resolution
is to change this habit and shall be create memories with groups, not to being aloof and
having confidence to face audiences. Yet sadly, the beginning of 2020 was horrible.
The COVID-19 virus spread rapidly and national government initially impose
lockdowns in the country. With this, my habit got worse, and I am frightened now
because I will be entering physically in college soon.

In conclusion, what I have learned in myself during this pandemic is that it depends on
us on how we look the effects of the pandemic in our lives. We have these choices to
live optimistically or to live covered with negative feeling. It is about the mindset that
differs. However, there are some people indeed hard to scope changes in life, but we
shall instill to our minds that we cannot change the future, but we can make choices to
create better future.

for others in my life.)

experience should be remembered and shared? What artifacts can you save to help you
remember this time? *

I have seen a lot of people from social medias quoting, “Can we uninstall 2020, this
version has a virus in it” and discoursing some negative effects which I personally
experienced as well. Albeit, instead of spreading and influencing negativity to the future
generation, I am going to flaunt the silver lining on it. We cannot deny the fact that
COVID-19 also brought positive impacts in all aspects such as, building strong and great
relationship with your family or love ones. In my case, I am living in a roof with busy
people. My father is a businessman; he always traveled, while my mom is an elementary
teacher and my younger sister is a student like me. We are only 4 in our house with given
the fact that we are residing away from the town. When stay at home enforce by our
national government, we have a great time talking to each other and sharing crazy and
unexpected experiences, my parent’s love story and how my sister being not able to do
her modules because of the gadgets and many to mention. Having this kinds of moments

Week 7
1. Think of a person you are close to (for example, a family member, friend, teacher, or
neighbor). How has your relationship with that person changed since the coronavirus
outbreak began? How has it stayed the same? *

I mentioned in my week 4 diary that there is a huge of change between me and my family
in terms in our relationships. Frankly, I grew up independently as my parents work on our
financial, to our business and their jobs. I grew up no one besides me when I am in trouble.
I accustomed to live on my own and live with my own plans and dreams. I vividly
remember all the moments where I grew up no one besides me when I am in trouble. When
I struggle in my studies, when I need my mom and dad to give advices and guide me, and
when I slept alone on our house.

However, this scenario changed abruptly when COVID-19 pandemic started. Lockdowns
are enforced where strictly stay at home is a must. Now I am living in a home with parents
and sister. We slept the same room and slept simultaneously. We shared crazy moments
and remembering great past experiences. At first, I felt awkwardness and weird at the same
time because I am now living in a noisy house. A house that full of chitchats, commands,
berate, and gossips towards our silly neighbors. Even though COVID-19 is loss for all of us
but I cannot deny the fact that COVID-19 is the moment of rebuilding loss relationships.
This feeling that I experience right now, is the feeling that I longing last 10 years ago.

At the present, we are creating more moments to cherish. The relationship, time and love is
still there. To end this weekly diary let me share a quote that generalize my reflection
saying,” Having somewhere to go is home. Having someone to love is
family. And having both is a blessing”.
