What is democracy? It is a form of social and political organization that attributes ownership
of power to the citizenry as a whole. In a strict sense, democracy is a type of State organization
in which collective decisions are adopted by the people through mechanisms of direct or
indirect participation that give their representatives legitimacy. In a few words, Democracy is a
term used to designate a of the forms of government in which the political power of and for
the people can be exercised.
