WordPress Site and Content Support

If you need support for your station’s WordPress site outside of the hours of 8:00-5:00
pm CST, please follow these steps:

1. If a page or post does not display current content on the live site, please log into
WordPress and look for the “Clear URL Cache” link on the black menu bar at the top of
your screen (editors only.) Click that and then reload the page in a browser where you
are NOT logged into WordPress to see if the current content is loading.
2. If the content is not displaying correctly or you cannot access a publishing element in the
dashboard, please click on the URL field of your browser from the WordPress dashboard
and press the keyboard combination Ctrl-F5 to reset your browser cache. If the problem
persists, please go on to the next step.
3. If the problem has not been resolved, please email the digital manager for your station’s
website Colleen Farrell at colleen.farrell@whec.com, or for urgent matters, call her at
585-802-9726 for assistance. Be sure to include a complete description of the problem,
along with any relevant links, error messages, screenshots, etc.
4. If Colleen is unavailable and the issue cannot wait until the next business day, please
email Tracy Maher at tmaher@hbi.com or call her at 651-642-4531 for all issues relating
to website content.
5. For issues that require the assistance of the web developer team (pages not loading,
slow performance, publishing elements not working, etc.,) contact the station’s digital
manager Colleen Farrell at colleen.farrell@whec.com or for urgent matters, call her at
585-802-9726 so she can investigate the issue.
