Once upon a time, in a small village in West Sumatera lived a mother and her son.

They
were very poor. The son was called Malin Kundang. Malin Kundang's father had passed
away when he was a baby. They only source of income is fishing, but they didn't get much.

Malin Kundang grew as a strong and skillful young man. Looking for a better life he decided
to sail overseas. With a heavy heart, her mother let him go. Everyday Malin Kundang's
mother prayed to God for her son’s safety.  

Many years without any news, but she kept praying and waiting for him. One day a big ship
landed on a beach near the village. It was Malin Kundang's ship. He is a wealthy and
successful man now. He has a beautiful wife. Malin Kundang's mother heard about this, she
was very happy and ran to the beach to see him. She wanted to hug her son.  

She arrived at the beach and saw Malin Kundang but he was ashamed to admit his own
mother in front of his beautiful wife. Malin Kundang mother was very sad and hurt. She
cursed Malin Kundang that he would turn into a stone if he didn't apologize. Malin Kundang
didn't care and really set sail.

In the quiet sea, suddenly the wind blew so hard and a thunderstorm came. Malin Kundang’s
huge ship was wrecked. Suddenly, his whole body turned into stone. He was punished for not
admitting his own mother.*

I usually wake up at 5 o’clock in the morning. I never forget to tidy up my bed and clean it
up. Then I take a bath and pray. After that I help my mother to prepare the breakfast. And
then, I have breakfast with my family in the dining room. We usually have warm tea, milk
and fried rice. Then, I go to school with my friends. I study at school till 1 p.m. I go home,
put off my uniform and have lunch with my mother. After that I pray, watch TV and take a
nap. I always take a bath at 5 p.m. in the afternoon. Then I watch TV while waiting the time
for praying. After I pray, I and my family have lunch together. And then, I read a book and
prepare the lesson for the next school day. I go to bed at 9 p.m. That’s all my activity starting
from  waking up till going to be. Thank you.

Hi, my name is Sasha. I am going to have a long holiday next month. It will be about two
weeks. My family and I are going to go to Hongkong. We are going to spend five days
there. We have planned a trip to Hongkong since January. Have you been there?

Hongkong is my first place abroad that I will travel to. I am so excited about it. This month
we will arrange our trip itineary. So, after school I’ll browse some places to visit. I’ll also
watch some Hongkong travel videos.

Hongkong Disneyland is a place that will be put in our first list. I love almost all of Walt
Disney’s movies. Besides, we’ll also go to Macau because my mother really wants it. I am

Covid-19 virus still become a hot topic until today. People get afraid to go outside since the
virus spread really fast from shake hands or breathing. The government decided to put
quarantine for months to reduce the spread. People still confuse and scare, I think Mr.
President should speak to the people, give people clarification so they can continue their life
in normal way. Some people against government decision for quarantine, some people
support the idea. The government would activate normal life again if they found the cure
