The Terrible Consequences of Not Loving Our Brethren

W HAT are the terrible consequences of not loving our brothers and sisters in Christ? Let me invite you to
take a look at what John the Apostle wrote concerning the answer to this question:

1. He who hates his brother lives in darkness (1 John 2:9-10).

2. He who hates his brother lives in darkness and is blind (1 John 2:11).

3. He who hates his brother is a child of the devil (1 John 3:10).

4. He who hates his brother abides in death (1 John 3:14).

5. He who hates his brother is a murderer (1 John 3:15).

6. He who hates his brother does not have eternal life abiding in him (1 John 3:15).

7. He who hates his brother does not have the love of God abiding in him (1 John 3:17).

8. He who hates his brother does not know God (1 John 4:7-8).

9. He who hates his brother does not have God abiding in him and the love of God has not been
perfected in him (1 John 4:11-12).

10. He who hates his brother is a liar (1 John 4:20).

11. He who hates his brother is a disobedient person (1 John 4:21).

12. He who does not love his brother is not a disciple of Jesus Christ (John 13:34-35).

Anyone who does not love his or her brother and sister in Christ will not be able to spend eternity
in heaven. Therefore, the question is: Do you love your brethren? ~ Willie Alvarenga

Las Terribles Consecuencias de No Amar a los Hermanos

¿ CUÁLES son las terribles consecuencias de no amar a nuestros hermanos y hermanas en Cristo?
Permítanme invitarles a considerar lo que el apóstol Juan escribió acerca de esto:

1. El que aborrece a su hermano vive en tinieblas (1 Juan 2: 9-10).

2. El que aborrece a su hermano vive en tinieblas y es ciego (1 Juan 2:11).

3. El que aborrece a su hermano es hijo del diablo (1 Juan 3:10).

4. El que aborrece a su hermano permanece en la muerte (1 Juan 3:14).

5. El que aborrece a su hermano es un homicida (1 Juan 3:15).

6. El que aborrece a su hermano, no tiene vida eterna permaneciendo en él (1 Juan 3:15).

7. El que aborrece a su hermano, no tiene el amor de Dios permaneciendo en él (1 Juan 3:17).

8. El que aborrece a su hermano no conoce a Dios (1 Juan 4: 7-8).

9. El que aborrece a su hermano no tiene a Dios permaneciendo en él y el amor de Dios no ha sido

perfeccionado en él (1 Juan 4: 11-12).

10. El que aborrece a su hermano es mentiroso (1 Juan 4:20).

11. El que aborrece a su hermano es una persona desobediente (1 Juan 4:21).

12. El que no ama a su hermano no es discípulo de Jesucristo (Juan 13: 34-35).

Cualquiera que no ame a su hermano en Cristo no podrá estar en el cielo algún día. Así que, la pre-
