(morning, afternoon, evening, night, midnight) using the preposition in.
4. Students will be able to ask and tell about events that happen at a specific time (in both
British and American English) using the preposition at.

1. Students will review months of the year.
2. Start off by looking at a calendar with everyone (and English one, if possible).
3. Have some fun with the calendar.
4. First: Students will be asked to point at holidays such as Christmast and to point out their
birthdays.
5. Students will be asked what month their birthdays are in and point to the month word (e.g.
January) at the top of each month.
6. Start to elicit the English words for months as you discuss their birthdays.
7. Students will be asked what month it is now as well as the following (using the calendar):
the month Christmas is in months other holidays are in (e.g. Easter, famous national
holidays – this depends on the country you are teaching in!) months for different seasons
(e.g. summer months, winter, spring and fall / autumn).
Production
1. Students draw the same clock (10 am) on their book and write the time and the events in
their daily activities using simple present tense, for example:

I study at school at 10 am in the morning

2. Students are asked to tell about the events with the specific time, am/pm, and the time of
the day(morning, afternoon, ect) using simple present tense.
