 Sociology is the study of human societies, their perception, interaction, and
dynamics of societies such as religion, race, etc.
 Identity Markers: Region, Religion, Gender, Caste, and Class.
 Societal changes- How does it impact? And What can we do?
 Societal changes are the change as a transformation of cultures, institutions, and
functions. The biggest example of this is the 2019 Covid situation.

Value Neutrality.

What are the key points from the reading material that are relevant for you? How has
the reading material helped/ aided your understanding?
The following are my learning from the Dove advertisement:
 The advertisement highlighted the concept of self-doubt and how appearances
play an important role in society.
 The characters in the advertisement had a complete opposite perception than
others about themselves.
 Also, how when we use certain terms like beauty, beauty products, dressing, etc.
we all relate these terms to women only.
 Even, all the advertisements display a certain kind of actors but not the general
reality of the audience.

ANY SUGGESTIONS: Visuals are more grasp taking for the purpose of learning.
