Designer: POT DUARTE The costume is avant-garde Filipiñana which epitomize the modern Balerianos who are progressive, forward looking and leading- edge in different aspects of life. The costume is adorned by yellow sabutan flower trimmings which are inspired by the Yellow Philippine ground orchids abundant in the Sierra Madre Mountain ranges and the rarest amongst the species. Yellow on the other hand is the color of joy, just like Balerianos, their captivating smiles and joyous laughter’s are far more contagious than any other adversities. The color brown represents the fertile soil of Baler. While the coconut nut shells and the seafood shells embellishments signifies the main product and the source of living in Baler, the coconut farming and fishing.
