LEMERENHONS AGRICULTURE PRIDE

If there's one thing we'll treasure until the end of Lemerenhons' age, those are

the remarkable products that showcase the culture and un-denying beauty of

Lemery. It is located at the Northern part of Iloilo wherein all distinct basic

needs of every Filipinos in livelihood are their exquisite pride. Agricultural

products like corn, rice, coconut trees, banana and sugarcanes are the things

we must see. Rice doesn’t only signify wealth and blessing, but also a portrayal

of unity and hard work of every Lemerenhons. And coconut trees grow so as to

be one of the most significant products of Lemery and most of the people are

being benefited as they wanted to have an adventure to venture. Banana often

make as an appetite or either dessert like banana cue. Sugarcane is under the

process of exporting that would really make Lemerenhons blessed and proud.

SAN JOSE FALLS DIPPING DEEPLY

Rushing flow of waters, chirping of birds, rustling little waves, and winds
whispering. Those are the things that you can witness when you are in Lemery.
Relaxed and harmonious as it seems, surrounded by the beaming glees and
barking laughers of people's amusement; it is all in, just in the midst of a misty
forest, it all can be found in San Jose Falls that really contributes to
Lemerenhon highlights.

Be magnetized and mesmerized on the way leaves along with the branches,
sway on the tune created by the uproars of the water fall. The way mist would
kiss your face as you were approaching. Welcomes you the chilling breeze of
crystal clear droplets with its cold and refreshing touches may keep you going
back at its waters; dipping deeper along the current of the gushing crystals.

Now fall with the falls as of how others fall for it. Beauty really isn't only about
the number of eyes saw the elegance but also about how fascinated they
become as they witness the natural treasure graced its way to satisfaction for
the sake of human refreshment. It is really magnificent!
LEMERY: ANG BAYING SAGANA SA YAMAN

Ng binuhos ng diyos ang kasaganaan tila nasalo lahat ng isang bayan.

Kasipagan at tiyaga ito ang kailangan upang maging masagana ang lupang
niregalo ng may likha. Hekta-hektaryang lupang pansakahan ang tinataniman
at inaanihan ng mga magsasaka dalawa hanggang tatlong beses sa isang taon.
Mga nagtataasang mais, tubo at naglalakihang butil ng palay ang makikita dito
kundi pati na rin ang iba't ibang uri ng gulay. Nakakalulang taas ng mga puno
ng niyog, at nakaka-bighaning iba't ibang barayti ng prutas. Hindi man
gaanong mayaman at mayabong ang agrikultura ngunit napapanatili pa ring
hindi nahuhuli sa pagsasaka. Tinuturing ang kasaganaang ito na isang daan
upang makilala hindi lamang sa probinsiya kundi pati na rin sa buong mundo.
Ang minsang natatagong kasaganaan sa matahimik na bayan ng Lemery ay
matutuklasan.

Isang pook na pinalilibutan ng mga bundok at malalawak na sakahan ang

makikita ngunit may nakatagong angking kagandahan, mga makapigil-
hiningang tanawin at mayaman sa mga kultura at tradisyon, ganyan halos
itampok at ilarawan ng mga dumadayo ang Lemery. Kaya’t tara at ating
lakbayin at kilalanin ang angking karangyaan at kaluwalhatian ng bayan ng
Lemery.

LEMERY: ANG PINAGMULAN

Lemery, isang kilala at natatanging bayan sa ika-5 distrito ng probinsiya ng

Iloilo. Marami na ang nagka-interes kung saan nga ba nagmula ang pangalan
ng bayang ito.Ayon sa mga katutubo rito, iba-iba ang pinagmulan ng pangalan
ng Lemery. May nagsasabing ito raw ay hinango sa salitang "Lumenaria", isang
malaking puno na pinalilibutan ng makukulay na alitaptap. Ang iba ay
nagsasabi na hinango ang pangalang"Lemery" sa tatlong duwende na si Le,Me
at Ri at may nagsasabi rin na hinango ito sa pangalan ng isang Espanyol na
siyang nakatuklas sa bayan na si Jose Lemery. Iba-iba man ang pinagmulan
ng pangalan ng bayang ito, patunay lamang ito na mayaman sa kasaysayan
ang Lemery.

Hindi laman hitik sa kasaysayan ang lemery kundi pati na din sa mga
magagandang tanawin na talagang makaagaw pansin tulad na lamang ng;
Bukod sa Mount. Anito, kilala rin ang Lemery sa mga talon at batis na
matatagpuan sa mga paanan ng bundok. Halimbawa nito ay ang Balantak
Falls na matatagpuan sa Brgy. San Jose kung saan dinadarayo ito ng turistang
nais mapaliguan ang malamig at malinaw na tubig na dumadaloy mula sa mga
bundok.

Dahil sa yaman ng kasaysayan mayroon ang Lemery, taon taon idinadaos ang
Saug Festival na ipinagdiriwang kada buwan ng Enero at ito’y bilang
pasasalamat sa lahat ng biyayang ipinagkaloobng Panginoon at bilang
pagbibigay pugay sa kanilang Patron San Isidro Labrador
TRIP IN THE HOME OF EVERGREEN

If you are searching for a place where you can relax, do some adventure, want
some refreshing air, take a bath in the sweet flowing breeze of water from the
mountain right into your shoulder and safety place to spend your vacation and
a friendly people around you, good for you because it all can be found in just
one place and it is in LEMERY.

Mount Anito for adventurous hikers amateur and professional. Next is Sirocco
Falls in Dapdapan with its’ very refreshing waters coming from the very
summit of the mountains. Appropriate for diving, picnic and a good spot for
picture taking.

Another is Balantak falls in San Jose where you can gaze breathtakingly prior
seeing the falls. But first you must walk for half an hour in order or you to
reach that nature’s gift.

Lemery has more to offer to everyone. It’s their annual festival celebration
where you will be amazed by the dances of different tribes and heartwarming
applause of people who witness the “Karosa Parade”, the pride of Lemerenhons
farmers.

ANITO HIGHLIGHTS: Glimpse of Lemerenhon Landmark

Once upon a time, a mountainous bulk of earth rose up and was named Anito.
Dividing the border between the town of Ajuy and Lemery, boosting pride from
its very peak. Located at the Barangay Capinyahan.

Anito, on his great glory, stand still, proud, yet merciful and magnanimously
jaw-dropping. Attracts both curious and adventurous visitors from the
neighbouring town and even townspeople as of how it attracts luck to every
courageous persona to kiss its peak. Coated with urban legends that made its
existence magnetized more attention from every keen eye to cross the
highways, showing its great built, providing hints of what consists its beauty.
Upon the slope, mountain climbing is what made it more thrilling.

From the thick greens and lady-like shape mountain forest to the complete
satisfaction of wandering the place. Making it more fun when you’re in top of it;
taking each step to such breath taking view along the horizon.
