Acknowledgments

The researchers would like to extend their gratitude to the following

individuals who have been of help in the duration of their research study:

Dr. Carmencita Y. Robles, Dean, and the professors of the College of

Communication, for the encouragement given to the researchers by their teachings,

ideas, and examples, for the challenges that they assigned which served as

stepping stones for the researchers to grow not only as Journalism students, but

also as persons with integrity in life, and confidence to cross borders and explore

new horizons in the future, and will surely remember all the learnings through the

years that the researchers have been under their supervision;

Dr. Ian C. Espada, Adviser, for patiently guiding the researchers since they

started the study. They are grateful for the essential knowledge that he imparted to

them for they learned how to balance and set their priorities in life as far as

education is concerned, for always reminding them not to give up and stand strong

in every path they take to finish the study, for always telling them that they can do

anything with perseverance, the effort and time he has set apart to carefully and

meticulously read and correct the researchers’ drafts, and, for motivating them to

improve and be better in the course of their study;

Mrs. Rica Marcet Obsequio-Funtecha, Prof. Shiela Mae C. Quero, and Prof. Zsa

and for the helping hand which made the evaluation sheet more constructed and

irrelevant;

Mrs. Lucy M. Sinay, Mr. Lester Mark Carnaje and Mrs. Pearl Lena for the time

spent in accepting the challenge in assessing the wall newspaper of the

researchers; and for showcasing their expertise in journalism;

Friends and classmates who inspired the researchers in making the study

possible, for helping through answering questions, entertaining queries, and for

being a constant source of comfort by their presence and kind words that

encouraged the researchers to finish their study;

The researchers’ families, for the never ending moral, emotional, and most

especially financial support throughout the study, and for the unconditional love

which drive the researchers to success. Their strong belief in the researchers’

abilities and knowledge that the they could accomplish this paper made everything

for the researchers doable, and was one of the things that pushed them to keep

going, and to also believe in themselves;

Above all, to the Creator, God Almighty, for everything He has given to them,

for the gift of life, for the love, strength, guidance, and protection.

With Him, the researchers felt comfort, trust and assurance that made them

overcome all the problems, struggles and challenges that came their way during the

study; and, because of Him, they were able to experience life, including this part of
