Lesson 2 (Personal Entrepreneurial Concept)

Activate Prior Knowledge:

 Is franchise, an entrepreneurial Venture?
 Franchisees, in my opinion, are business owners. They've taken a chance and
are starting, developing, and creating their own companies, together with all
the obstacles and demands that entails.
Questions to Consider:
 What are the common characteristics of Entrepreneurs? How useful is each
characteristic in entrepreneurial endeavor?
 The common characteristics of Entrepreneurs are the following: Motivation,
passion, vision, confidence, and decision-making. In my opinion, these
characteristics of entrepreneurs, include some parts of the “entrepreneurial
mindset” can be taught and learned. For all aspects though, the desire to
learn and continue becoming a better and more successful entrepreneur will
need to come from within. It will need the drive to succeed that leads to the
willpower to overcome obstacles and “make it happen”. If you don’t have, or
can’t muster this drive and willpower, no amount of teaching or learning is
likely to allow you to become a successful entrepreneur.

IQ Preparation

Money As a student, it is important to think of different yet effective

ways to earn money while studying. I decided to engage
myself with business so that I can earn extra money for me to
use in my future expenses. There might be times that your
parents couldn't give you enough money to settle your
personal matters (especially your wants) so it's important
that you're engaged into something that can help you save
money by and on your own.
Model I am a single proprietor since it is my own capital that runs
the business. Though, I have companions in preparing the
products, I still consider myself a sole proprietor.

Mentor Since then, when I was a kid, I have been exposed and
introduced to the business of our family and relatives. So, as I
grew up, I became business minded even in just a small
beginning with small capital and small products. Until I got
enough capital to start Bright Tummies.
CQ Marketing

Mindset and One of my goals why am I operating this food business is to

Mission (AQ) satisfy people's needs (food) and especially their cravings. I
know that in every bite, we are giving happiness to all the
people eating our products. And another goal is to give back
to our parents, to help them in your daily expenses.

Market/ For me, I want to advertise my products more than the

Method (EQ) business name because it is easier to market if your
customers know your products at the first place. Advertising
the business name is also good but people nowadays are
straight-forward and direct to the point, so it is better to just
advertise your products. In this time of pandemic where
most of us are in quarantine, we are advertising our products
through different social media platforms such as Facebook
and Instagram. We also put our 4contact details on the
stickers attached in every boxes of our products.

Message With our growing business, the lesson I have learned is

"don't be afraid of trying things" because no one knows how
it can change your life and how far it can go. We are still lucky
and thankful for the unending support we are getting from
our valued customers and resellers. And as of now, we are
grateful because we have not experience failure(s) yet and
we hope that our business will continue to grow and give
satisfactions to people through our products.

Management
Skills Yes, I have. One reseller from Cabatuan, Isabela contacted me
and he said that he wanted to become my reseller but for
now, I have to turn it down because we don't have clear
conversation and it's hard to deliver tons of orders as of now,
especially in this time of pandemic. And another thing, I did
not agree to his offer because it is too beneficial for him but
not with us (about the price and other stuffs).

AQ Self-
leadership

Moving Even though my business is just starting; it became popular

Forward to our town and nearby places. So, if we continue to give
them quality products and able to satisfy their cravings, I
think Bright Tummies will become successful in the long run.
Every delivery, we are getting good feedbacks from our
customers and they are even advertising our products to
their families and friends.

Mastery The things I considered upon starting our business is the

tastes and preferences of my target customers, how much it
costs me, the availability of the ingredients, how it should be
done, and most especially how to market our products. And
regarding the preparation, it is not easy because you have to
make people be aware of your products first so that you can
easily perform marketing. Planning and setting all the things
needed is not also easy but the only thing I bear in mind is,
"just try."
