Wellbeing Mindset for a Renewed New Normal

SY 2021-2022

INTRODUCTION

A webinar on “Wellbeing Mindset for a Renewed New Normal” was conducted

last July 7, 2021 by the the Guidance & Counseling Center with the invited renowned
guest speaker, Dr. Shiela Marie G. Hocson, RGC, RPsy, RPm, LPT. The speaker spoke
about equipping the participants with mental health psychosocial support, teaching them
to learn practical coping techniques and empowering personnel to advocate for sound
mental health in the institution.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

The study will answer the following questions:

1. What is the mean rating of the respondents on the activity in terms of:

1.1 Content
1.2 Speaker/Facilitator
1.3 Group Interaction

2. What are the respondents’ Comments and Suggestions?

METHODOLOGY

In this survey, there are 61 participants who responded to the given evaluation
forms. The respondents rated the activity by the scale of 1 to 5; 1-Poor, 2-Below
Average, 3-Average, 4-Above Average, and 5-Excellent. Data responses gathered and
were computed.

The mean ratings on each of the following components of the activity: content
coverage is relevant to the objective of the activity, topic is useful to my development,
content coverage in thorough, Organization, Knowledge of subject matter, Clarity of
voice and presentation, Ability to sustain students interest and attention, Time allotment,
Participants' engagement in discussion, Moderators' effectiveness, Appropriateness,
Adequacy of space and Conduciveness to activity. All Comments and Suggestions of
the students towards the activity were also presented in this study.

Table 2 shows that in terms of speaker/facilitators: the speaker/facilitators coverage was

deemed as excellent with a rating of 4.91 from the participants.

Table 3 shows that in terms of open forum/group interaction: the open forum/group
interaction coverage obtained an excellent rating with a mean of 4.59.

CONCLUSION

The webinar conducted to the personnel was generally rated as “excellent” by

the participants. This implies that the activity was extremely satisfactory, relevant,
helpful and highly satisfactory. Most of the comments by the respondents signified
appreciation and commendation of both the speaker and activity.

RECOMMENDATION

In light with the findings, it is recommended that;

1. results be disseminated to the Guidance Coordinator, administrators and deans

as basis for planning the upcoming webinar;
2. more webinars as such inviting international speaker/s be considered next school
year.
